Installation notes
macOS — “MShop cannot be opened”
The beta build is not yet notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper blocks it on first launch with a message that sounds like the file is damaged. It is not. To open it:
- Open the DMG and drag MShop into Applications.
- Right-click (or Control-click) the app and choose Open.
- Click Open again in the dialog. macOS remembers this — you only do it once.
Double-clicking the app normally will keep being blocked until you have done this once. Notarization is planned before general release.
Android — installing an APK
This APK is distributed directly rather than through the Play Store, so Android asks for permission the first time:
- Open the downloaded
mshop-android.apk. - When prompted, allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps.
- Tap Install.
Windows — unzip and run
The Windows build ships as a zip rather than an installer. Extract it
somewhere permanent (not inside Downloads, or the next cleanup removes
it) and run mshop.exe.
SmartScreen will warn on first launch because the build is not
code-signed — choose More info then
Run anyway. Keep every file in the folder together;
the executable needs the DLLs and data/ beside it.
Web app
Nothing to install — it runs in any modern browser and is always the latest version. On phones and tablets you can add it to your home screen from the browser menu and it will open like a native app.
